I first became interested in Yoga in 1995 and ten years ago I began my journey as a Yoga teacher when I joined YTI – Yoga Therapy Ireland.

I have always wanted to visit India, the home of yoga. However the opportunity to do so did not come my way until now. I am both excited and nervous about this trip as it is a big adventure for me. Once again I will step out of my comfort zone but I believe that I am ready to embrace this adventure and whatever it brings for me.

Over the last ten years some of you have been attending my classes since I qualified in 2009, some have come and gone and come back again and some have gone on to become wonderful yoga teachers.

Everyone comes to Yoga for a different reason but usually end up with an experience they don’t expect.

I like to think of our class as a community or a family who are there to support one another whether they are aware of that or not. I am just the facilitator because without you there wouldn’t be a class.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for all of your support over the last year and years whether it was at a yoga class or for a reflexology treatment.

We are all on this journey called life together and I know that I’ve experienced the support from you during the tough times. We have been through the many ups and downs that are all part of life together.

I am looking forward to my trip and I’m ready to embrace and take what Asia has to offer me.

I hope to come back renewed, refreshed and with lots of inspiration to share with you on my return.

I am delighted to have three wonderful yoga teachers covering my classes while I am away.

Orla McCarthy (087 0554190) will cover the classes in the Ardboyne on Mondays

Eleanor Moran (085 8315088) will cover the classes in the Crea Centre on Tuesdays

Linda Barron (087 2345956) will cover the classes in Trim on Wednesdays which from Jan ‘18 will be held in the Kenpo Karate Academy, Mill Street, Trim *

I was delighted and very proud to be joined by my daughter Naomi two years ago for the Pregnancy Yoga classes.

Naomi (086 8386048) will continue to hold the Pregnancy yoga class also in the Kenpo Karate Academy from Wednesday 10th Jan ‘18 and will take any queries for Swan Lane Yoga.

Naomi also runs Hypnobirthing courses in The Castle Arch Hotel in Trim and further details can be found on the website or on facebook.

I will be back the end of March and hope to resume classes and treatments after Easter.

Finally I would like to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a wonderful 2018.
